On this day, 42 years ago, Israel deliberately attacked the USS Liberty. Only those who refuse to see can ignore the evidence showing it was deliberate. Israel is not our friend. There is nothing in our nation's interest in supporting her. We are her cuckold.
On that day, we agreed silently to allow a grand falsehood -- a blatant lie -- to become our nation's official story. In the months that followed, we could easily have corrected this mistake, but we chose to promote a lie. In that time, fresh demon forces entered our nation with a renewed authority to bind and destroy. We issued to Hell an open invitation, which Satan has never refused.
We continue to lie about anything Israel wants. Israel won that little war, not as a miracle of God, but with normal, worldly military advantages. She did so with malice aforethought, not at all defensively. She had better organization, more money, better equipment, all sorts of indirect support from allies she despised (the US chiefly), and took advantage of her enemies' lack of same. Today we still parrot the official line of Israel, calling her supposed enemies "Islamo-fascists" while Israel demonstrates a far stronger representation of "national socialist" than any nation yet in human history. Yes, Israel is more Nazi than the Nazi Party of Germany ever was. She claims "the superior race" and the "mandate of Heaven" to destroy, slaughter, and steal whatever she wishes.
This "Jewish nation" fits no definition of "Jew" accepted by any normal meaning of the word. They do not practice any particle of the Covenant of Moses. Jesus (you recall the Son of God, no?) said following the Talmud was a rejection of Moses, and officially Israel rejects even the Talmud. He bluntly said He was the fulfillment of that covenant. To reject Jesus is to stand outside the Covenant and rejects His covenant promises. Nothing Jehovah promised can Israel claim without embracing Jesus; He said so. Any claim to the contrary is crucifying Him afresh.
You don't have to hate them to simply step aside and let them stand or fall on their own. To support them is a lie against God. How the US Evangelicals have come to support that lie is too long a story to recount here. However, we know what happens when the mainstream Church becomes a cheap harlot to the government, any government. The Apostle John makes that clear.
Now would be a good time to come out of her, Christians. Jesus stands at the door and knocks, hoping we will once again recognize His Lordship and let Him in. We need to send missionaries, not missiles.

Thank you, Ed, for reminding your readers of this criminal act of war that has been deliberately covered up by the Reigning Establishment for the last 42 years.
The attack on the Liberty has always been a sore point with me, for if I had been born twenty years earlier and had the events of my life still unfolded as they actually did in that earlier timeframe, I would very likely have been a crew member on board that ship. As it is, having served in the U.S. Navy for two decades as a "spook" who specialized in the region in which the Liberty was attacked, it makes my blood absolutely BOIL whenever I hear Right-wing Radio Blatherers and Pseudo-Evangelical Israel-Firsters (or do I repeat myself?) defend the Israeli actions on that terrible day and, worse yet, openly mock those --especially the survivors of the attack-- who know and speak the truth.
About twelve years ago I attended a presentation at the National Security Agency given by Joe Lentini, one of the survivors of the attack, who walked us through a slide presentation of that day's events, some of the photos having been copied from those included in James Innes's (the Liberty's "chief spook" and Lentini's division officer) book Assault on the Liberty and some that he himself shot. It was an absolutely awe-inspiring event, one that confirmed for all present that the official story of the attack being an "accident" is an obscene lie. (Quite frankly, I'm surprised that NSA allowed Lentini to use their facilities as a forum, given that agency's major role in covering up the REAL story in accordance with Lyndon Johnson's orders).
The good news, fortunately, is that almost no one among the general population appears to be fooled by the "official" version of the event. All that is left is for true justice to prevail in the form of the return of constitutional government and the end of taxpayer-subsidized "foreign aid", thus spelling an end to the American-Israeli crime spree that has poisoned both nations' reputations and robbed Americans of so many of their freedoms.
